Suitability of Using Mechanization Means for the Maintenance of Grass Stands by the Method of Mulching

This study aims to provide comprehensive and practical information on particular mechanization means used in the maintenance of permanent grass stands, namely cutting technologies without collection cut biomass - mulching. A sample consisting six machines classified into three categories (uniaxial tool carriers, single-axle small tractors, with a zero turning radius) was tested practice functional operational aspects were studied different localities stands. Data measured individual calculate consumption [l/ha], [l/mth], [l/l biomass] or performance [ha/hour]. The measurements took place two sites: site stand unkempt for long time regularly maintained by conducted cadastral area Ostrava City situated NE part Czech Republic.
